Maryland Mattress Recycling Payments Run Out of Time – Worldwide Sleep Merchandise Affiliation
MD HB 984 and MD SB 603, which might have enacted a statewide mattress recycling program in Maryland, died after the 2026 Maryland Normal Meeting session adjourned Monday, April 13. ISPA testified in help of each payments at hearings of the Senate Training, Vitality, and Surroundings Committee and the Home Surroundings and Transportation Committee. Each payments did not advance from the committee through the 2026 legislative session.
Between now and the 2027 Maryland legislative session, ISPA will proceed to interact with stakeholders and legislators to assist push this laws throughout the end line in 2027.
